We work with people who want to change the world
People who fight poverty
People who help others
People who create beauty
We help them tell their stories
Image Ark is a full service creative agency based in Kathmandu, Nepal.
We are a small team with diverse communication skills. Depending on the project, we design, we strategize or we sit with people and give them advice with coffee. And when it’s not enough, we call our smart friends.
Our unfair advantage at the foot Everest: the sky is the limit.
Talk to us if you would like to start a new project.
Marie Ange Sylvain-Holmgren
Founder / Creative Director
Ange has worked 30 years for the United Nations as a filmmaker and communication specialist in many countries before creating her agency and joining the very short list of creative agencies around the world led by women. Born in Haiti, she traveled the world documenting development issues, creating art and exhibitions on development and social issues. She is the recipient of several awards for her work and her art is on permanent display at the UN conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. Her documentary Paper Orphans on the trafficking of children for international adoption was instrumental in changing legislation on child protection in Nepal. She finds energy and inspiration working with her young team.
Swojan is a self-taught graphic designer with a dozen years of experience. Obsessed with papers and typography, he has an extraordinary eye for detail and for the little things that bring a project from good to great. Working with Image Ark since the beginning, he has helped shaped the agency and every project carries his mark. His quirky sense of humour and infectious laugh are legendary.
Pranidhi's background combines fashion, graphic design and business. She loves exploring design in tangible forms as much as on a screen. She soaks in inspiration from her surroundings- strolling colorful market streets, ogling at street fashion from quiet corners, or browsing bookstores for beautiful book covers and the audacious words inside. Pranidhi works from Paris.

He performs the indispensable tasks of keeping the books, procuring supplies and looking after client contracts. His real talent is to understand both art and Excel sheets.
Sarita is the mom, keeping us tidy, fed and suitably caffeinated with the best coffee EVER. Sarita’s smile erases all troubles and in the rare occasions that she is not with us, something is just not right in the team. A mother of two, Sarita lives very near the studio in the cobblestoned historical part of town.
Lovin is a self taught graphic designer and artist who brings to the team vast knowledge and understanding of the advertising world. Her experience in running ad campaigns makes her an invaluable asset in many of our communication projects. Lovin, as her name suggests, is the soul of the party. Not a boring moment when she is around.
